Where is Camp Quinebarge?

Camp Quinebarge is located on Lake Kanasatka in Moultonborough, New Hampshire. Our facilities cover 65 acres of pine forest and 1250’ of lakefront, and backs to Red Hill, less than a mile away.

We’re roughly 2 hours north of Boston, easily accessible and less than half an hour from Interstate 93. For staff flying in, Boston’s Logan Airport is our nearest international airport, and Manchester, NH is our nearest domestic airport. There are one or two daily bus services from Boston (including Logan Airport) to Center Harbor, NH – just 5 minutes from camp.

What Kind of Campers Attend Quinebarge?

Quinebarge attracts a group of well-rounded, friendly, and fun campers and serves children from over 17 states, 10 countries, and 4 continents. We don’t restrict campers based on religion, ethnicity, nationality, or gender. Despite the great diversity of the Quinebarge family, we are a tight-knit community, and our campers and staff find that they have a lot in common. Our campers are kids who like trying new things, creating things, sports, the outdoors, and everything in-between. Quinebargers are campers who want to grow alongside each other, and be part of an amazingly supportive community. We are a camp that fosters community through all that we do from our meals to campfires to sports to our adventures around New Hampshire.

What are the General Duties of a Staff Member?

Staff fall under two categories: Support Staff and Program Staff. Regardless of their designation, all staff are responsible for the health and safety of our campers, as well as the care of our facilities and any equipment. Support staff on the maintenance team assist with landscaping, painting, trash removal, and cleaning communal areas, and the duties of the nurse, and kitchen or office staff are obvious. All of our program staff both lead activities and are assigned a cabin, where they supervise bedtime and morning routines, as well as cleanup and meals. Program staff also rotate through Night Duty, supervising their cabin areas.

What are the Benefits of Working at Quinebarge?

Salaries at Quinebarge are competitive and reflect each staff member’s experience, expertise, certifications and position. Benefits also include room and board, weekly laundry, one day off each week, and a bonus for each new camper referred to Quinebarge by that staff member. Staff members who have camp-aged children may be eligible for free camper tuition during their employment. Many of our staff members are former campers or counselors, and all employment is at-will.

What is the Staff Application Process?

If you’re interested in joining the Quinebarge staff family, please complete our online application as soon as possible as we hire on a rolling basis and positions fill quickly. We will then review the application and contact you for 1-2 interviews, either by phone or Skype. If you are selected for a position, you will have additional forms to complete (I-9, Medical Forms, Personal Behavior Agreement, etc.) and we will complete background checks.

You will then be asked to join our Staff Facebook page, which will allow us to communicate with staff as camp approaches and for you to ‘meet’ the other staff. You will also receive a Staff Manual and an outline of your position.

If at any point you have questions, please contact us at fun@campquinebarge.com.
